Ceremony

Music for the wedding ceremony is so important.  The processional in particular is a key moment of your wedding.

Ed works with you closely to choose the perfect songs for the ceremony.  This could be something from his current repertoire or something new which is close to your heart.  Having an expert wedding guitarist on hand to help choose your ceremony songs ensures it will be a moment to cherish forever.

Drinks Reception

The drinks reception immediately follows the ceremony.  This is usually combined with the taking of photographs.  As a newly wedded couple you will most likely be whisked away by your photographer, leaving your guests to enjoy a few drinks.  What better way to keep them entertained than with some live music by a professional wedding guitarist to kick start the celebrations!

By Time Period

Renaissance

A small collection of music from the renaissance period, including pieces by Dowland, Narvaez, and Milan.

Baroque

Includes selected pieces from famous Bach lute and cello suites, as well as selected pieces by Vivaldi, Silvius Leopold Weiss and other key composers of the Baroque era.

Classical

This set includes cornerstone pieces of classical music such as Pachelbel’s Canon (‘Canon in D’) as well as music by various classical guitar composers such as Matteo Carcassi and Fernando Sor.

Romantic

The romantic period was ushered in by Beethoven and typified by Brahms, so it would be a shame not to include some of their music in this set.

Modern 'Classical'

Despite the Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras being long gone, they live fresh in the memory of many contemporary composers. Modern day classical guitar composers still write pieces in a reminiscent style, but with plenty of influence from contemporary styles such as folk, jazz and pop/rock.

By Style

'Classical'

The term ‘classical’ tends to get used to casually nowadays describe music written sometime before the 20th century. Whilst there are distinct differences between each musical era, Ed’s ‘classical’ set includes music from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Romantic periods. It also includes some modern day pieces written in a ‘classical’ style.

Spanish

Ed’s Spanish set encompasses a range of authentic Spanish music. This includes pieces from as far back as the Renaissance, traditional Catalan folk songs, the romantic guitar music of composers such as Tarrega and Albeniz, as well as some pieces in a style reminiscent of flamenco.

Jazz

Jazz music works perfectly as ambient music in almost any setting. Ed’s jazz set includes a range of slow to medium ballads as well as famous jazz pieces such as ‘Summertime’, ‘All The Things You Are’ and ‘Fly Me To The Moon’.

Pop/Rock covers (instrumental versions)

Pop and Rock covers arranged for the classical guitar are a great addition to any wedding or event. Being instrumental, the music is none obtrusive but that doesn’t stop the occasional sing along! The Pop/Rock set includes everything from Coldplay and Adele to The Beatles and Eric Clapton. There’s even room for some Aerosmith, Kings of Lyon and Metallica!

Check the repertoire list to see if your chosen song is already listed.  If it is then you’re all set! Just ask Ed to play it when you fill out your booking form.

Make Your Request

If your song isn’t listed then simply make your request on the booking form.  If you definitely want a song which is not listed in the repertoire list, be sure to mention it when you request a quote.  There is a £30 fee for any song requested which is not already on the repertoire list.

Ed Peczek is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.  The RCS only take on the very best musicians.  Places for guitarists are limited to just 1-2 places per year.  Ed studied under Phillip Thorne MBE and Allan Neave whilst at the conservatoire.

He graduated in 2009 with a BMus (Hons) degree and now uses his musical expertise to provide beautiful wedding music to couples throughout the UK.
